THE TEAM BEHIND LAYLOW IS LAUNCHING A RESTAURANT AND BAKERY IN CHELSEA

The new spot will open on 26th June, with a menu overseen by head chef Emily Dobbs

Laylow, the Notting Hill-based restaurant and bar that’s seen the likes of Guy Ritchie, Pixie Geldof, David Beckham and Jack Whitehall through its doors, is branching out into slightly more central territory with the team’s latest venture: Lórian in Chelsea. Set to open later this June, the new space will function as a restaurant, deli and bakery, and former Petersham Nurseries and Ducksoup chef Emily Dobbs will be at the helm.

Aside from the previously mentioned restaurants, Emily is known for specialising in Sri Lankan cuisine with her street food stall-turned-pop-up Weligama. She’ll be working alongside Johnnie Collins of 180 The Strand to develop the menu at Lórian, which we can expect to be ever-changing, with dishes including the likes of:

  • Homegrown greens with lemon and seeds
  • New potatoes and pumpkin seed romesco
  • Salt baked beetroot, horseradish and parsley

Overall, the offering will be ‘veg-centric’ with a focus on seasonal ingredients from quality suppliers such as Shrub Provisions, The Ethical Butcher and The Sea, The Sea. Dishes will be available to eat in or takeaway, as will a range of fresh deli salads, breads, pastries and cakes – the bakery selection will be supervised by founder of Presto London Lauren Duncan. This may be about to become your new lunch go-to.
