Zulu
Winter have danced around airwaves of Radio 1 and fluttered about in 2012 with their success of album ‘Language’. They enjoyed a pretty nice ride and managed to get on the main stage at Glastonbury, however things often don’t work out and this July they will release a 10-track mini album called ‘Stutter’ which is a farewell from the ZW boys.Off of this compilation of dreamy thoughts and dazed pop, the video for single ‘Heavy Rain’ delivers a hooded figure dancing in a hazy meadow. This ties in with the track, which can be aptly described as slightly haunting falsetto vocals amidst a pasture of synths and poppy beats. Zulu Winter’s sound comes in close to Alt-J, or maybe Adult Jazz, but always easy listening, so ‘Stutter’ is set to be a promising yet a little sad, mid summer release.
‘Stutter’ is released on Fiercepanda records on 21st July.
