Restaurateurs Alexis Colletta and Romain Fargette, the team behind Brazilian-Japanese spot Mano in Mayfair, are opening another spot in the neighbourhood this summer. Yuca will be a Japanese-Mexican joint on the site where Mews of Mayfair used to be, and as well as a 300-cover restaurant, the three-floor space will also have a club in the basement, so you’ll be able to party after your dinner.
We don’t know what’s going to be on the menu just yet, but with Luciana Berry (winner of 2020’s Top Chef Brazil and a MasterChef: The Professionals semi-finalist) serving up the likes of salted cod croquettes with biquinho pepper and karashi mayo; grilled Brazilian cheese glazed with yakitori sauce and sesame seeds; and smoked Brazilian Picanha steak with Japanese Yakiniku sauce at their Mano restaurant, we’re excited to see what Yuca has to offer.
