So you think you think you could be the next big thing in the T-Shirt design world? Move over Christopher Kane, because we do! Head down to YrStore, Kingly Court’s latest pop-up to create your own exclusive tee, but be quick, as they leave July 7th.
Tech guys, Luma are behind the interactive digital art wall, where you use a ‘spray can’ to design your tee. Its completely freehand design means you can use the pre-designed stamps and stencils to build your unique images. You can even upload pics, then customise, layer and spray on top of.
We opted for the interactive touch-pods to create our design. It was pretty simple to use, and we ended up designing the most random tee. We think it started from an earlier conversation about cats, it went a bit like this, ‘I don’t like cats, they’re unpredictable’. So what do you think ended up on the finished shirt? Cats! Blue cats scattered over a beautifully ornate ceiling.
We’ve got to admit, the end result was pretty amazing, watching your design being printed on the massive Epson printer then heat pressed onto the tee is extremely satisfying. The quality of print is super clear, and we think our cat/ceiling tee is banging. Karl move over baby there’s a new designer in the house…
If you’re not a budding Banksy, don’t worry. Guest artists will be in store each week to design on the digital wall, which you can then nick and pass off as your own. But give it a go, you’ll be surprised at what you’ll come up with…we certainly were!
