psych-punk from the Second City, Birmingham’s Youth Man have arrived kicking and screaming. A no-frills trio of guitar, bass and drums they’re making a racket that belies their fresh faces, and has got punters and pundits alike all hot under the collar. ‘Heavy Rain’ lets us sample some of their infectious energy:

Currently touring debut EP ‘Bad Weather’, you’ll want to catch them while you can: their third ever gig saw frontwoman Kaila Whyte covered in blood, and we don’t expect them to have mellowed since.

28 Jan – The Old Blue Last, London
29 Jan – Zephyr Lounge, Leamington Spa
08 Jan – The Great Escape, Brighton
