THESE ARE THE CARNIVAL EVENTS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT

Tips & Test Pop-Up Nail Bar
On Thurs 21st August, Peckham Palms is hosting pop-up nail bar Tips & Test, where you can get a free Carnival-inspired express mani, with designs by Shea Osei (who did Cynthia Erivo’s nails in Wicked). The salon will also be offering info about HIV testing and offer free testing sign-ups, as part of Do It London’s campaign to raise awareness of HIV testing amongst women. You can book a slot here.

Formula Baad x Wray & Nephew Birthday Party
This year marks the 200th anniversary of J. Wray & Nephew, the oldest registered company in Jamaica, and Issy Bossy is getting the celebrations started on Sat 23rd August. She’s hosting a Formula Baad x Wray & Nephew x No Long Talk pre-Carnival big dance at UNDR, and you can get tickets here.

Puma Yard
Before Puma takes over King Tubby’s and Rampage Soundsystem at Carnival with Usain Bolt, the brand is popping up in White City with Puma Yard. Head down on Fri 22nd August for the launch of the launch of the limited-edition H-Street sneaker, DJ sets and performances from Damn Shaq and WSTRN, and a streetwear pop-up from British Caribbean designer Sharkkana.
