Moisturisers, masks, serums, make-up…these are the newest beauty products that should be on your shelves (and on yourselves).
Liz Earle Skin Replenishing Body Balm
We love a bit of Liz Earle - that Cleanse & Polish is cult for a reason - so when the brand comes out with a new body balm you can bet we're all over it, especially as we're getting into the season where more flesh will be flashed. This balm, enriched with eight plant butters, rice bran oil and black oat seed extract, not only feels luxurious when you slather it on, it really does make your skin feel all lovely and soft and ready to be on show.
Too Cool For School Coconut Milky Mist
Moving between hot weather and air-conned offices is drying out our skin like nobody’s business. Thankfully a few sprays of this Coconut Milky Mist from Korean brand Too Cool For School and we’re back to having a glowing, refreshed face. The mist is packed with pure Brazilian coconut water so it keeps your skin hydrated without drenching your face. It’s a great one to spray on post-cleanse if you don’t wanna go for a cream moisturiser but it’s just as good on top of your make-up to create a dewy glow.
Ariane Poole Concealer Palette
If your tan (real or fake) is fading but you've not quite gone back to your palest self, getting the right shade of skin make-up can be tricky. Mixing two different colours can work but that often involves carrying two separate products, which isn't exactly handy. Ariane Poole has got the solution with this customisable concealer palette - three creamy shades that you can mix and blend according to your colouring, so you're covered (literally) whether you're concealing a red blemish or a dark circle.
If you suffer from it (and have the collection of cycling shorts to wear under dresses to prove it) then you know uncomfortable chafing can be. This genius little spray from Smoovall takes all that irritation away by creating an invisible layer to prevent against friction. Spray away, let it dry and then you're good to go for at least four hours. It's suitable for all skin types, it's breathable too, so you can do as many top-up sprays as you need, and it's way easier and cleaner than covering yourself in talc.
Arbonne Botaniques Papaya Body Wash
We're suckers for a fruity body wash and this one from the Abonne Botaniques range certainly leaves you smelling of papaya. Aside from the gorg trpoical scent, the wash refreshes and moisturises your skin thanks to the shea butter, olive extract and lavender oil that's also in there, so you don't step out of the shower with that dry and tight feeling you can sometimes get from soap.
Instytutum Resurfacing Glow Toner
Swiss skincare brand Instytutum has arrived in the UK and that should make you very excited indeed because its highly-concentrated formulas really deliver results. This glow toner exfoliates and brightens in just a few sweeps. The glycolic acid and niacinamide get rid of dead skin cells and helps to clear out those congested pores, whilst the chamomile soothes at the same time so you get zero irritation. If you're not one for lengthy skincare regimes, this is the toner for you.
Hempz Shampoo & Conditioner
If your hair is already in need of some TLC, any, sun, sand and chlorine is only going to make it worse (and we're hoping for all three on our summer hols), so your choice of shampoo and conditioner is crucial. This Hempz duo, formulated specifically for damaged and colour treated hair is enriched with 100% natural hemp seed oil and shea butter to hydrate and nourish your locks and tame any frizz. 100% good hair days are ahead.
MALAKO Skin to Soul Hand and Body Wash
Despite the fact that we wash our hands multiple times daily, hand wash isn't something we normally pay a huge amount of attention. Well not anymore. The Skin to Soul Body and Hand Wash from MALĀKO, which is inspired by traditional Thai healing, not only cleans but actually nourishes and evens out your skin thanks to frankincense oil, pomegranate extract and camelina oil - so no more dry hands. You can use it in the shower too, and it smells so nice that you'll want to slather it all over yourself.
Cosmydor Organic Cold-Processed Soaps
Parisian eco luxury brand Cosmydor has arrived on our shores and we are already big fans. Not only is there a strong focus on natural ingredients, Cosmydor has a strict no-plastic policy - sustainability all the way baby. The organic cold-processed handcrafted soaps are especially great. There's a bar for every skin concern from dullness to dryness (plus special scrub bars) and they all smell DIVINE. That's the power of essential oils for you.
Cubid CBD Re:scue Body Butter
As this luxurious body butter is packed with shea, cocoa seed and almond, you know it's going to rehydrate any patches of dry skin in a flash. What gives it an extra summin summin is the infusion of full spectrum hemp oil, which contains 66% CBD, so your moisturising moment is even more soothing and serene.
sesderma C-VIT Liposomal Serum
Whether it’s sun exposure or stress, our skin has a lot to deal with and sometimes only an intensive treatment will do. This anti-oxidising serum, packed with vitamin C, gets right in there to add moisture, brightness and firmness to your face. We whack it on twice daily but it’s also a great one to apply if you’ve got some specific lines or scars that need a bit of extra attention.
Tropic Pure Lagoon Blemish Prevention Serum
Whilst we don't get raging teenage-style breakouts anymore (thank god), our face doesn't always play ball and stay spot-free. That's why we're loving Tropic's Pure Lagoon Blemish Prevention Serum. It's anti-inflammatory, so it calms redness, and it also gets to work on spot-forming bacteria so the blemishes don't come back. A couple of drops once a day and you should see the magic happen.
Leighton Denny Rejuvenate Hand Mask
Remembering to apply hand cream every now and then is better than nothing at all, but to really show dry hands some love, you need a hand mask. This one from Leighton Denny (which is a nail brand,so you're in good hands, literally) is packed with vitamin E, shea butter, honey and macadamia seed oil. All you gotta do is whack them on your mitts, sit tight for half an hour and then remove to reveal seriously soft and nourished hands.
Daytox Vitamin C Serum
Vitamin C is the new buzz ingredient in beauty. We tried this serum and our skin has never looked better. We use it every morning and night without moisturiser so it's perfect for the ever changeable weather we're having as it provides protection without being too heavy. A facialist once told us all you needed for healthy skin was Vitamin C and we’re now inclined to agree.
IMAGE Vital C Hydrating Repair Creme
Central heating overload always dries our skin out and leaves us feeling scaly and itchy. This miracle cream packed with vitamins A, C and E has totally saved our face. Apply a thick layer overnight and voila, you'll wake up feeling as soft as a baby's bum!
sesderma SENSYSES Cleanser
Getting rid of all your makeup, plus the dirt that's accumulated on your face over the day, is probably the most important step in your skincare routine. So you need a product that's gonna get it all, and we mean all, off. Seriously it's time to bin those make-up wipes for good. Not only does the SENSYSES cleanser do the trick, it's gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin.
Lush Vegan Protein Shampoo
You don't need expensive products packed with chemicals to keep you colour looking fresh, not with these new babies from Lush. This vegan protein shampoo is packed with aquafaba - yep that's the chickpea water - to add both softness and strength, horsetail herb and linseed oil for silkiness, and cold-pressed raspberry seed to protect the hair and make the colour pop. Plus it's a bar, so no unnecessary packaging.
