Rewards credit card Yonder is making it rain this summer whenever the weather takes a turn
The Great British summer is an unpredictable beast. One year we hit record high temperatures and the next, it’s a washout; this year we had an average of rainfall of 140mm in July, there have been downpours across the first half of August and even on days that are forecast as sunny, sneaky clouds have been rolling in.
Bad weather is not all bad news though thanks to Yonder, the lifestyle rewards credit card, who is making it rain in the best way this summer with London’s first weather-based giveaway. On every day that it rains on Yonder’s London office, the team will send out a Rain (e)Mail, which will detail the prizes on offer for that day, and the first people to click through from the email will win. And these prizes will actually have you wishing for a downpour, we’re talking rounds of pub drinks, cinema tickets, games of Junkyard golf and even a hotel stay for two in Capri.
Yonder recreated a viral Irish weather report as part of the campaign to show just how drenched London has been this summer. As Yonder CEO and co-founder Tim Chong says, “This summer so far has been a shocker to be honest. As London’s most rewarding credit, we thought it’s time the capital’s residents got something in return for the wettest summer we’ve had for a while.”
