really gets about doesn’t he? Not content with being one of the most recognisable icons of modern times to folk of all ages, Mickey and his big boss Disney have decided to stick their heads into a market they are yet to have a spin around – Premium Scandi Apparel. That’s right; the dapper Mr Mouse himself has teamed up with Copenhagen-based lifestyle brand Wood Wood. Now we were pretty surprised to see the Kings of Cool themselves partner with such a spirited mainstream brand like Disney but this project is really refreshing and easy on the eye, drawing it’s inspiration from the original Walt Disney black and white ‘House of Mirror’ cartoons from the 1920’s and 30’s.

The collection feels edited and considered, never losing sight of exactly who the Wood Wood customer is, while also (hopefully) winning them a legion of new fans who probably don’t surface their head above the high street fashion arena.

Their take on Mickey sees him stretched, multiplied and generally distorted; not something you would normally do to an 86 year old but he doesn’t seem to be complaining. Silhouettes stay sharp and staple to the brand, with print shirts, tees and sweatshirts and even you ladies get some token pieces here and there (no we aren’t taking the Mickey, baddum-tsssh) – don’t go forgetting their classic baseball caps and accessories either.
