Fashion
fell back in love with the nineties a few seasons back and it looks like it’s here for good. Early decade grunge provided strong inspo for Pre-Fall 16, resulting in a mixed bag of fabrics and patterns, thrown together in a cool and casual fashion. It’s not all band tees and ripped denim though, this casual character trend captures that attitude in a totally fresh and modern way.Coach and Diesel Black Gold explored the tomboy side of the casual trend with leather minis, bomber jackets, and stomper boots, whereas Preen Line and Dondup added romance with floral silk dresses and chunky knitwear. And the heritage check, the staple of the grunge movement the first time around, was out in force, given a 2016 spin at McQ, Cedric Charlier and No. 21.
[URIS id=61905]HOW TO GET THE LOOK…
Casual dressing is supposed to be just that, easy and relaxed, so you don’t need to be all done up…layer jumpers over loose dresses and cropped trousers, and stick to oversized outerwear. Grunge is good here, so dig out your flannel shirts and Docs, but throw in some ditsy florals if you prefer to keep things more feminine.
