a stonking May tour including a sold out Scala show and performance at Glastonbury, we urge you to listen to Wolf Alice’s Creature Songs EP if you haven’t already! Having previously warned you of how good Storms is, the EP is a great extension of the band’s varied beautiful and brutal sounds.

Moaning Lisa Smile is a gorgeous tune of angst repeating the words ‘no, it never is enough’. Infectious riffs, sometimes trippy vocals and lyrics show the constant high delivery of Wolf Alice and how quality this EP is. They are masters at changing mood within songs and throughout the EP from pretty and simple stages instantly built up to layers and a wall of sound changing through whimsical to head banging moods within seconds.

The contrast of Storms and Moaning Lisa Smile’s thrashing chords to the latter Heavenly Creatures and We’re Not The Same shows their ability to please both shoegaze and much heavier music fans – perfect for their upcoming festival performances. Catch them at Deer Shed, Secret Garden Party, Dockville, Reading, Leeds, Electric Picnic and Bestival.
