Christmasis coming… To East London! Okay okay, we’re the first to admit talking about christmas in October isn’t really on. But hey, since Selfridges has already opened its festive store (way back in August!) we’re just gonna go ahead and tell you about what’s happening anyway.
Filled with enough spirit, joy and sheer undulated fun to put a smile on the face of even the biggest of Scrooges, a brand new festive village is coming to East London in just two month’s time! Featuring an outdoor ice rink, fairground rides and daily entertainment, Winterville is set to take over Victoria Park on December 2nd for an entire month, and we’re seriously struggling to contain our excitement.
With everything from horse drawn carriages and a magical Santa’s grotto to amazing street food and a dedicated craft beer bar (well, it is East), there’s also going to be live comedy and cabaret shows, a special christmas panto and an indoor roller disco featuring beats from some of the area’s hottest club DJs.
While it’s completely free entry, the special attractions are ticketed in advance, so we’d recommend booking in before your visit (some have already gone on sale). Would a christmassy pun be too much? We certainly ho-ho-hope not.
