After the success of his Chatsworth Road restaurant, New Zealander Shane Harrison opened up a second spot on the canal at Here East last year. There’s a big focus on seasonality, foraged ingredients and wild meats, with dishes like kentucky fried wild rabbit with quince jam, whole roasted salt marsh wild partridge with cider braised cabbage and grilled wild mallard breast with beetroot puree on the menu. And for all those carnivores that are interested in cooking meat as well as eating it, Shane runs wild butchery masterclasses, where you can learn how to prepare deer, rabbit, pheasant and pigeon, before a cooking demo and a game-based feast.
