Three Michelin-starred chef Eneko Atxa, whose Bilbao restaurant Azurmendi is currently 16th on the World’s Best 50 list, opened his first place in London, Eneko at One Aldwych, last autumn and it’s been going down a storm. Now he’s getting into the brunch game, Basque style. Combining the ingredients and flavours of the region with the culture of getting friends and family around the table, all done with his signature flair, this is definitely not your average eggs and avo. We’re talking dishes like slow-cooked oxtail and Idiazabal cheese on milk bread; fish soup with hake, mussels and clams; fried eggs, wild asparagus, piquillo peppers and mash potato; and Basque-style prime rib of beef.
