The Inn reopened last June after receiving a thorough renovation that saw six individually designed bedrooms, decked out with original artwork, antiques and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and organic Bramley toiletries, added in. There’s also a new bar and dining room, with an open kitchen led by head chef Elliot Craven who’s crafted a seasonal menu of modern British dishes made with hyper-local ingredients – we’re talking oysters straight from the surrounding water and fruits and vegetables grown on the Island.

The Inn is just 10 miles from Colchester, just an hour away on the train from Liverpool Street, so you’ll be exploring the Island’s unspoiled beaches, creeks and boardwalks in no time.
