We’re about to get into our fave season of the year, FESTIVAL SEASON, and one of the highlights of the calendar, Standon Calling, is back for its 17th edition this July. Not only is this the closest camping festival to London (we love an easy journey home after four days in a tent), this year’s line-up has equal gender representation. SELF ESTEEM, Bloc Party, Years & Years, The Human League, Squid, Shygirl, Warmduscher, Django Django, Groove Armada, The Big Moon, Melanie C, Confidence Man, Katy B, D Double E, The Murder Capital, High Contrast and Faithless are just some of the names on the music line-up, so you’ll be guaranteed a good dance.
And if you’re looking for laughs, the Stand-Up Calling bill is stacked with comedians, including Mark Watson, Rhys James, Reginald D. Hunter, Kiri Pritchard-Mclean, Lou Sanders, Thaniya Moore and Tom Ward. You’ll also be able to watch a dog show, catch a costume parade, chill in a riverside hot tub, get involved in family-friendly workshops, tuck into a whole load of street food, and hopefully, soak up the sun for a whole four days.
