It’s London Climate Action Week so there’s no better time to shine a light on sustainability, and that’s exactly what The Sustainable Restaurant Association is doing with the One Planet Plate initiative. Chefs and restaurants are highlighting the most sustainable dish on their menu during the campaign, to show how they are addressing issues like sourcing produce locally, limiting their carbon footprints, and cutting down food waste, and to make it easier for diners to make sustainable choices when eating out.
Over 2000 restaurants across the UK are taking part, including the likes of Carousel (potatoes, picked onion and Empirical hot sauce), Darjeeling Express (beetroot raita), Quo Vadis (chickpea pancake, peppered chickpeas, spinach and chutneys), Gloria Trattoria (fritto di veruda), SpiceBox (cauliflower coconut dhal) and Coal Office (asparagus levan), and you can see all the participating restaurants here.
To celebrate the campaign, we’ve teamed up with One Planet Plate to give away a MEGA prize – a one night stay for two people at The Ritz with breakfast and champagne afternoon tea. Yeah we told you it was big. If you fancy a night of pure luxury, just enter via Instagram below. Good luck!
