win a meal at sakagura and a japan centre voucher

Best-selling Japanese author Sayaka Murata is releasing her latest novel Convenience Store Woman in the UK this summer, and this is the first time one of her books has been translated into English. A darkly comic tale of what it’s like to be a single woman in Japan, the novel follows Keiko who finds a place for herself working in a convenience store, though her friends, family and the rest of society have other ideas.

To celebrate the book’s release, we’re teaming up with the Japan Centre and Granta Books to giveaway a big prize bundle. Not only are we giving away copies of Convenience Store Woman, we’ve also got a meal for two at Sakagura and a £50 Japan Centre voucher up for grabs, plus a runner-up prize of a meal for two at Shoryu Ramen. That’s right, TWO prizes people.
