LaCage opened its first UK restaurant on Kensington High Street this September, bringing more than 40 years of Montréal sports brasserie history to London. It’s a proper institution back home, having grown to more than 40 restaurants across Québec and built generations of loyal regulars around one simple idea: you shouldn’t have to choose between good food and watching the game. London marks LaCage’s first move into an English-speaking market, and Kensington has been chosen as the flagship for the brand’s wider international ambitions, part of Groupe Grandio, one of Québec’s leading hospitality groups, which also owns brands including Moishes, Cochon Dingue and Niji Sushi.
Expect Quebec classics like Poutine Classique and 24-hour Smoked Beef Short Rib, hot honey Montréal-style pizza, and Beavertails for dessert, alongside Canadian-leaning cocktails like the Montréal Mule and the Québec favourite Montréal Caesar, all served across two floors built for watching live sport without ever having to compromise on the food or drink.
