British classics done right
Willett’s is a British bistro in The Cadogan that’s championing seasonal ingredients and British classics. From the Granny Smith apple cocktails (including Willett’s own branded Granny Smith apple stickers) to a comforting chicken and morel pie, a meal here is like being back in your family kitchen – with an elevated twist.

Honestly, there’s not a lot of room to go wrong with this menu. The sourdough crumpets are a must-order and they come with some delightful accompaniments – the dressed Dorset crab and the duck liver parfait with Yorkshire rhubarb being our favourites. The Scottish langoustine cocktail and the hand-dived Orkney scallop both had incredible depth of flavour. The fish and chips was also a very moreish main, and we could have drunk the tartare sauce in its own cup.
Do not skip the desserts or you’ll regret it on your way home. While trifle and jam roly poly sounds like something from your school dinner days, these puds are far from what you would have been served as a child. The trifle was fruity and fresh, and the jam roly poly was excellent, and served with copious amounts of custard.

The mushroom tea truly blew us away. Salty and umami, it was the perfect introduction to the Willet’s menu, and it comes with a caramelised onion Willett’s-branded Bourbon biscuit.
Why Go
