you’re missing the upbeat tongue-in-cheek of The Vaccines, get a bit of Wild Smiles in your ears. Like The Vaccines, they hail from the UK, but with their big American sounds it seems like this band are set for bigger things, having been described as a mash-up of surf/drone/grunge reminiscent of The Beach Boys, The Velvet Underground and The shoes.

Latest track ‘Girlfriend’ is basically frontman Chris Peden shouting about a lady-mate who talks so much she’s made him late. Bummer.


You can expect more straight-talking vibes from the band’s debut album ‘Always Tomorrow’, set to be released on Sunday Best on the 27th October.
