Wild Beauty Is the Place for Gua Sha and Japanese Manis

Fun fact: I’ve never had nails

No matter what I’ve tried – foul tasting polish, gels, hypnotherapy – I have never been able to not bite them down to the core until they are red raw. But that all changed with my second visit to The LifeCo and so with my new nails, I decided it was time to get a manicure. But not just any old manicure, a Japanese manicure at Wild Beauty. So demure and so mindful, I know. The manicure is based on an ancient technique over 400 years old, which applies nutrients deep into the nail bed using a natural paste made from Vitamin A and E, keratin, bees wax and silica from the Sea of Japan. It says everything that 400 years ago the Japanese were practising how to have perfect nails.

The result of the manicure means the nails look natural but perfectly polished – even though there is no polish applied – super smooth and extremely healthy. Whilst the manicure might be the newest treatment to Wild Beauty, the salon also specialises in Gua Sha sculpting facials, and so, when in Rome…

Gua Sha is a trad Chinese medicine practice which has become popular in recent years due to its non-invasive method, which essentially involves using a flat object and stroking it over a lubricated face. Gua Sha boosts your circulation, reduces puffiness and swelling, and promotes collagen, and because Wild Beauty only uses organic, vegan and cruelty-free brands, it’s gentle on the skin.

I also had the LED light therapy added into the facial as my skin was sun damaged and dry. Afterwards my face was glowing and I left looking fresh. Two weeks later and I am still feeling and seeing the effects, I’ve been using my cuticle oil that owner Mary makes, and my nails are still going strong.

For a demure, mindful selection of treatments Wild Beauty should be your salon of choice.
