arc’teryx x like the wind why we run masterclass

St James’s is an area that’s nailed the balance between old and new – the location itself has a rich history but the brands that call it home are dynamic and contemporary. Many of the retailers, restaurants and galleries there share a passion for skill and craftsmanship, and the upcoming series of masterclasses hosted in St James’s are gonna give you the chance to get a whole new insight into that world.

Arc’teryx, known for its high-performance outdoor equipment and clothing, is teaming up with running magazine Like the Wind for a long-distance trail running masterclass held at their Piccadilly store. If there are two brands that know their stuff when it comes to running and adventures, it’s these two. Like the Wind will be hosting a panel, featuring runners including Katherine Lowrie (the first person to run the length of South America as part of the 5,000 mile project), Aleks Kashefi (an adventure traveller who ran the length of Europe) and Theo Larn-Jones (founder of Love Trails Festival and Útilív Adventure Festival), so they’ll be providing all the info and inspo you could need to set off on your own long-distance adventure.

On the night you’ll also be able to take part in nutrition workshops, including one where you can make your own energy bars, and get expert info on altitude training. You’ll even have the chance to experience what it’s like to train at 5,000m, not something you’d normally get to do in central London.
