The great old school Rock and Roll performers, White Denim, released their new video for single ‘At Night in Dreams’ created by Brian K. Jones. Inspired by the flaming images of talking, waving, 52ft Big Tex, the Texan artist included illustrations of band members for a quirky take on his original piece which caught the band’s attention.
Jones, of the art duo Chuck & George describes the video: “There are winks and nods to psychedelic grind house theatre graphics of the 70’s and a sprinkling of old Saturday morning cartoons to lighten the mood.”
So what about the music? Expect a solid 4 minutes of authentic Southern American style rock and roll which is so often described as an ‘immediate classic’. Along the crossed lines of QOTSA and Black Keys somewhere are White Denim who have been igniting passions of fans with their live international shows for quite a few years now.
You can catch them in London in May, playing London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the 28th before they support the Arctic Monkeys in the US in June.
