Hot on the heels of the news that Slim Chickens is crossing the Atlantic this year, it’s now been announced that another big US chain, Which Wich, is also making the jump to London. Which Wich is all about the sub style sandwich and at its heart is that quintessential American trait, freedom of choice. You order by taking a bag, grabbing a pen and marking all the ingredients you want in your sandwich (as many as you can stomach), from the type of bread right down to style of mustard. You sign the bag, hand it over to staff and your sandwich will be delivered back to you in a jiffy (bag).
If all that decision making is too much for you, there’ll also be a menu of off-the-shelf favourites and apparently they’ll be making a special selection of sandwiches for us sophisticated Londoners. The first branch is due to open at the end of February and they’ve already got plans to open ten more shops in the capital after that.
