Wimbledon 2025 is just around the corner, running from 30th June – 13th July. If you didn’t manage to nab tickets for Centre Court, fear not, because we’ve rounded up the best pubs and outdoor screens (many of which are free to attend) where you can watch the tennis this year – hopefully, you’ll catch a few rays too.

Eccleston Yards – Wimbledon in the Yards

Watch the tennis for free from a beanbag, a deck chair or a picnic bench in the courtyard of Eccleston Yards this summer – you can even see the screen from the terraces of Morena and Jones Family Kitchen. There’ll be loads of food and drink available too, including rosé from Amie Wine and frozen chocolate-covered strawberries from trüfrü.

London Bridge’s FREE summer festival will be showing all the Wimbledon highlights on their screen at The Scoop. It’s first-come, first-served so get down early if you want to secure a spot.

St Katharine Docks – Screen on the Water

The Screen on the Water is returning to St Katharine Docks this summer – just in time for us to catch every Wimbledon match. The floating pontoon is totally free to enter and is fitted out with a large screen, as well as a licensed bar serving cocktails, beer, and prosecco. Seats are first come first served, though, so if there’s a particular match you wanna tune in for, get there early.

Covent Garden

This summer, Covent Garden’s Piazza will be decorated specially for Wimbledon with deck chairs, picnic tables, bunting and flowers. You’ll be able to catch matches daily on the large screen while sipping on Pimm’s provided by the pop-up bar, then shop from Wimbledon outfitter Ralph Lauren.

Everyman’s open-air cinema is back for 2024, and it’s bringing sun-drenched Wimbledon screenings with it. Chill by the canal on a lounger or beanbag with any of the food, wine and cocktails from the Everyman menu. Seats are first come first serve, so get there earlier to nab the best spot.

A giant open-air screen is pitching up in Merchant Square in Paddington, showing all the tennis action from the tournament for free. You can just rock up and grab a deckchair or spread out your own blanket on the lawn on any day of the tournament. There’ll be strawberries & cream and British cocktails to sip on too.

Catch the semi-finals and finals on the screen at Duke of York Square, set up on the green opposite the Saatchi Gallery. There’ll be a pop-up bar pouring fizz and Pimm’s, with food available at the Fine Food Market (on Saturdays) and, of course, strawberries and cream. Opt to either spread your blanket out on the green or pre-book one of the deckchairs (for free) if you want something a little more comfy.

Canary Wharf – Summer of Sport

All the Wimbledon action will be screened in Canada Square Park this year, just bring along a picnic blanket to sit on. But, if you want to have a proper sit-down, you can see the screens from The Ivy in the Park or the Oasis Bar & Terrace.

Ham Yard Hotel is bringing a slice of Centre Court to its central London courtyard for a second year. All the matches will be screened, with bookings available for the both the singles and doubles finals. National Theatre

Wimbledon is being broadcast on a big screen outside the National Theatre so you can catch all the on-court action against a backdrop of riverside views. Wimbledon screenings are back in St James’s Market this summer, so you can kick back in a deckchair and soak up all the tennis action.
