Chicken and wine has got us feeling fine
There’s a lot to love about Bar Levan, like its superb selection of European natural wines, miso devilled eggs, oozy Basque cheesecake and banging tunes played on a vintage sound system. The Peckham spot is broadly inspired by the wine bars of Paris, but this summer it’s also been bringing a slice of the South of France to south London via the medium of rotisserie chicken.
The Bar Levan team will be firing up the rotisserie chicken machine just for us this autumn as we’re teaming up with the wine bar to throw an epic rotisserie chicken and Pet Nat party on Sat 19th October. Tickets are £40 per person and includes a sharing menu for two. Here’s what you’ll get:
- a glass of Pet Nat on arrival
- miso devilled eggs
- baguette
- Delica pumpkin with pumpkin dressing, crisp cavolo nero and Pecorino
- half a rotisserie chicken with frites and salad
- Basque cheesecake
And if you want additional vino throughout the meal, you’ll be able to get glasses of Pet Nat for £8.50, and the sound system will be in full swing too – because you can’t have a party without a good playlist.
