Fire, have you seen teh new Foals video for ‘Late Night’? Well, dont watch it in front of your mother…shock and awe man shock and awe. The Oxford five-piece Foals entered the UK album charts this month at number 2.

Late Night is stark, fragile, stripped back; a song that puts hairs on the back of the neck. On the lyrics Yannis says: “Some of that is to do with my grandmother, and to do with ageing, and being on the verge of passing over into something else, and having remorse and guilt.” Catholic guilt? “Byzantine guilt… bloodlines, and disappointment, and the unwinding of genes.”

The video was made in Romania by LA based Australian/Iranian video producer du jour ‘Nabil’ (Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Nas) and premiered yesterday on rollingstone.com

The band embark on a 10 date tour of the major UK cities in March. ‘Holy Fire’ is out now.
