A US burger chain coming to London is always big news but a celebrity-owned burger chain is a whole new level. Yes, the new kid on the block is going to be Wahlburgers, the US burger chain set up by Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg, with a site in opening in Covent Garden.
Founded in 2011, the chain has sites in 22 cities and even has it’s own reality TV show, also called Wahlburgers. Inside there’s all the Wahlberg memorabilia you could wish for (possibly more than you would wish for), but we’re told that depsite the star owners, the food is the real star of the show.
We’re expecting the menu to be largely the same as it is across the pond, meaning burgers (apparently Mark’s fave is the Thanksgiving turkey burger whilst Donnie is a BBQ bacon man), sandwiches, salad bowls, tater tots, frappes, floats and beers. And Mark himself will be in town on 6th May to meet all you burger fans.
