you like your tea and cake (who doesn’t?) Voilets should be on your list of places to try and buy. This small tea and cake shop located just off Wilton Way started out as a stall on Broadway Market.

Outside it looks like somebody’s house, inside it could be someones house as you are greeted by the cheery ladies cooking and mixing ingredients. Best known for her American style cupcakes the shop also offers whoopie pies, brownies, scones and cookies washed down with a selection of pure teas. We went down the healthy route with the spelt brown scone and a freshy brewed coffee – coming in at under £5.

The cafe has seats inside and outside either in the small garden or on the pavement out front. We’d recommend choosing the pavement as it’s a great area for people watching.  Well worth a visit if your in Hackney.
