your rubber rings and factor 50, we’re off to the beach…sort of. May 1st sees the launch of ‘On the Roof with Vintage Salt’ at Selfridges, the third pop-up from restaurateur Des McDonald. For five months, the restaurant, bar and terrace will be transformed into a Cornish fishing village kicking off Selfridges’ ‘Great British Outdoors’ campaign. Al fresco dining, deckchairs, beach huts serving drinkies and a dedicated G&Tea bar means this could quite possibly be the best seaside EVER. And, if it’s anything like the winter pop-up Le Chalet it’ll be a winner.

The menu will feature a selection of summer dishes and quirky puddings, and of course, in keeping with the seaside theme, fresh fish dishes. Vintage Salt will be open for late breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner seven days a week. What are you waiting for? Now everybody together… OH WE DO LOVE TO BE BESIDE THE SEASIDE.
