2012 was an epic year for Django Django, nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, selling out shows across the UK and Europe and a blow out end of year show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire. The band are currently in Australia playing a few shows before heading back to UK shores for the NME Awards Tour and they aren’t showing signs of slowing down.
Partnering up with Django drummer Dave Maclean’s brother, the band released a video for album favourite ‘Hand Of Man’, directed by the Bafta Award winning John Maclean, a beautifully shot monochromatic masterpiece. John expands on the film:

The party was the last day in our friend’s building which will inevitably be knocked down to make way for more dodgy flats with tiny triangle balconies – art, film and music studios destroyed to make way for fast-buck housing developers pricing the working classes and the artists out of central London. The end of film developers and kodak film stock. And the beginning of great things, Django Django, the spirit of youth, integrity finding a way to live forever, and fresh bread.”
