Veuve Clicquot is partnering with Sally Abé on a champagne pairing tasting menu at her Westminster restaurant The Pem. The seven-course ‘La Grande Dame Garden Gastronomy’ menu puts vegetables front and centre, with dishes including British garden peas with lemongrass, Exmoor caviar & Dorset razor clams; griddled British asparagus with Yorkshire pecorino, Cornish leaves & preserved ceps; herb-stuffed Cornish brill with Tokyo turnips, wild garlic & sunflower seeds; and apricot tart with hazelnut frangipane & apricot sorbet, and it’ll all be paired with the house’s La Grande Dame 2015. To further celebrate the launch of the new vintage, the bottle label has been redesigned by ceramicist Paola Paronetto and six new brightly-coloured cases are also on offer.
