We’ve already had London’s first vegan Chinese pop-up, Mao Chow at Pamela, but now things are really getting specific with the first vegan Sichuan specialist, popping up at one of our favourite neighbourhood wine bar/deli, Weino BIB in Dalston.
The 100% plant-based range of dishes at V. Sichuan will include the likes of slow-cooked aubergine with Sichuan pepper, chilli oil, garlic and ginger; mapo tofu; noodles with sweet sesame and seasonal greens; and liangfen, a jelly made from mung bean. The Weino BIB team will of course be on hand to offer suggestions from their selection of natural wines to go along with the food. And if you fancy a plate of cheese from the deli at the end of your meal…well we don’t see why not.
