UNIQLO PRESENTS THE ART AND SCIENCE OF LIFEWEAR

Rather than taking to the runway, UNIQLO is making its London Fashion Week debut by hosting an immersive exhibition at Somerset House. The Art and Science of LifeWear: New Form Follows Function will showcase LifeWear from three perspectives – Art, Science and Craftsmanship. Through large-scale installations across themed zones, you’ll be able to see the way UNIQLO is constantly developing the concept of LifeWear; high-quality, practical clothing designed to make life better.

Innovations in the manufacturing process, like the brand’s revolutionary WHOLEGARMENT technology, which creates 3D silhouettes in seam-free knitwear, will be showcased, and you’ll also be able to explore the scientific aspects of the HEATTECH, AIRism and Ultra Light Down products. The exhibition will also have a dedicated area to UNIQLO’s sustainability programmes like the Jeans Innovation Centre, which is seeking to change the way jeans are designed and produced.

In honour of London Fashion Week, UNIQLO has also collabed with NTS Radio and you’ll be able to shop the item at an exclusive pop-up store, with NTS also hosting two lates at Somerset House on 19th and 20th September. Best of all, the exhibition is totally FREE to attend,
