What’s the vibe?

This uber serious joint on the Lower East Side is so far up its own pizza oven it does make for a frustrating experience. Waiting for a table in NY is just one of those things but it gets a little jarring when you’re waiting and the chef’s friends come in and get seated before you. Still, it’s a very cool space and once you do get a table there’s good things in store…

What to order?

Being a Neapolitan purist means its pretty strict on the toppings. There are a couple of great sounding pizzas that have salami and more interesting things on but one is only available on Fridays and the other on Saturdays. God knows why. Make sure you order the Margherita or the Marinara, both of which come with san Marzano tomato sauce (the others have fresh tomatoes), but whatever you choose, we guarantee you’ll be blown away by the bouncy, soft, chewy dough. It really is incredible and just about justifies the $25 price tag (and the service).
