New London-based gender-neutral brand Ugly Studios is doing its bit to make fashion more sustainable with its carbon-neutral t-shirt collection. The capsule, which precedes the debut AW19 range coming in October, has been designed to make a statement about transparency in the fashion industry, with one tee featuring the care label information front and centre.
Not only are the shirts made from GOTS certified organic cotton and screen printed with vegan ink, but they are also manufactured in a factory that uses renewable energy sources and ensures ethical working conditions in accordance with the Fair Wear Foundation. Ugly Studios has also partnered with Plastic Oceans UK to donate 10% of the profits from each t-shirt, and from future collections to the charity. Ugly never looked so good.
