Christmas UBER are helping achieve that in a big way with #UberGIVING. Today from 2pm through to 8pm UBER users can request an UberGIVING car which will come to pick up food from your home or office to donate it to one of the UK’s leading food charities, FareShare, and homeless shelters, Whitechapel Mission, amongst others.is a time for giving, for doing good deeds and making an extra effort to put a smile on someones face.
For these selfless acts of kindness UberGIVING elves are giving out rewards in the form of chocolate, from their friends at Lindt.
What can you do to help?
Start collecting non-perishable food to donate:
Packets of cereals
Packets of biscuits
Fruit juices – apple, orange, pineapple, etc. – that do not require refrigeration
Packets of sugar, tea bags, jars of coffee
Tins of vegetables and fruit
Tins of meat, beans and fish
Tins of soup
Between 2pm and 8pm on today, swipe the slider on your app to GIVING and request a car – completely free of charge – to pick up your donations and hand over your Christmas treat.
