two lights to open in shoreditch

The team behind Michelin-starred and World’s 50 Best The Clove Club is opening another east London restaurant this autumn. Two Lights will take over the Amici Mei site and American chef Chase Lovecky (current head chef at The Clove Club) will be heading up the kitchen. The name comes from the State Park in Maine, where Lovecky is from and there’ll be a modern US influence to the place, with dishes including Hereford beef tartare and togarashi, lemon sole with charred tomatoes and seaweed, and grilled mackerel with cherries, and black olives. Two Lights is being billed as a neighbourhood joint but with a chef of Lovecky’s pedigree in charge, it’s not going to be your average local.
