There’sa gap coming up in our diaries between the end of Euro 2012 and the start of the Olympics and we’ve already started looking around for interesting things to do to fill the time.
One event that has caught our eye is the #makefriends2012 scavenger hunt on Saturday 7th July, an event that promises to guide participants to hidden gems around London filled with music and art in many languages from different countries all over the world. The event is sponsored by language learning brand Rosetta Stone and aims to bring people together, introducing them to new languages and cultures.
The timing of the event is very apt, falling between two international sporting events, and just before thousands of international tourists descend on London for the Olympics. Kicking off at 11am, clues will be released via Twitter, directing participants to secret spots in Central London. Best of all, it’s completely free to take part, all you need to do is to register at Facebook.com/RosettaStoneUK to find out the starting point and follow @RosettaStoneUK on Twitter, using the hashtag #makefriends2012 to find the clues during the event.
Also up for grabs is a pair of flights to anywhere in the world, and all you have to do to win is take a picture of yourself participating the event and upload it to the event Facebook page with one lucky winner picked at random. Other prizes will be given away throughout the day including festival tickets, trapeze lessons and gourmet meals, so keep your eyes open all day for secret treats!
Good luck y’all!
