London awash with coffee shops, it’s like it pre-empted news of the new Twin Peaks series (just need to hunt down that cherry pie). Maybe the capital will be sporting a mish-mash of Americana (vintage looking sportswear, lumberjack shirts) after hearing U.S band, Twin Peaks’ debut album Wild Onions. Oh, they already are.

Well, one’s a damn legendary TV series, and the other are a band of upstart Chicago teens, not quite snarling and swaggering, but definitely rocking and rolling.

Lead single ‘I Found a New Way’ charms with its simplicity, hooks, and good use of effects. It’s loud, heavy, charming and raucous. Like Stand by Me meets The Strokes. All join together in buying the album on Communion Records and keep an eye out for future tour dates.
