Streetfood event masterminds Tweat Up and Street Feast have teamed up with Wahaca founder Thomasina Miers to create Chilli Chilli Bang Bang, a two-day festival celebrating the mighty chilli pepper.
Happening over three sessions on 9th and 10th May at Street Feast’s summer home Dalston Yard, Chilli Chilli Bang Bang is set to kick off the summer with a veritable heat wave. Expect demos from the UK’s most hot-headed chefs, fiery street food from all four corners of the globe, a Spice Market featuring lots of delicious take home goodies, a Hot Sauce Deli, DJs and live entertainment. Chefs appearing at the event include Giorgio Locatelli, Gizzi Erskine, Stevie Parle, Tim Anderson and Martin Morales.
Jose Cuervo is in charge when it comes to drinks, with a selection of lip-smacking tequila cocktails and frozen margaritas on offer at the Treehouse Bar. They’ll also be pitting bartenders against punters in the Jose Cuervo Lucha Libre Cocktail Battles, where competitors will be challenged to create the best tequila-chilli cocktail. The winner goes home with a year’s supple of Jose Cuervo Tequila.
Tickets go on sale 9th April at noon and are £15 each (early bird are £10) which includes a giant, spicy, festival-sized Jose Cuervo cocktail and an icy-cold Corona beer plus a free Margarita (£6) and hot sauce (£2.50) from Wahaca as well as lots of other goodies, deals and discounts in your Chilli Notes Festival Guide.
