The first phase of The Tide, the linear park winding its way though Greenwich Peninsula, is being unveiled in July with two weekend festivals. The Turning Tides weekenders will feature art, live music, wellness, food, film screenings and more. Gaz Coombes, Laura Mvula, Oumou Sangare and Beth Orton are leading the live line-up, with Village Underground and Ghost Notes curating sessions. There’ll also be a special performance by Sink The Pink, set to the backdrop of GERONIMO’s large-scale water droplet installation, to kick the whole thing off.
In between all the performances, you can get involved in tai chi, gong baths, yoga and breath work, with the likes of Morning Gloryville, Yoga Sonora and Sanchia Legister leading sessions. Food-wise, there’ll be a rolling series of feasts on the 27-metre-long Seafood Disco picnic table, with Berber Q, Matt Williamson, Disappearing Dinning Club and Stevie Parle cooking up a storm by the river. Entry to the festival is FREE but if you want in on those feasts, you ‘ll have to buy a ticket.
