Uncertain, Texas (yes it’s a real place) is a town of just 94 residents and is described as so tucked away “you’ve got to be lost to find it”. And it’s got some problems, like the fact that the big old lake it’s next to is being swamped by an aquatic weed, damaging the town’s only source of livelihood. Set against this backdrop and directed by Ewan McNicol and Anna Sandilands, who won the Tribeca Film Festival’s Albert Maysles Documentary Director Award, Uncertain offers a look into the lives of three local characters…an ex-con obsessed with hunting a boar named Mr Ed, a fisherman grieving for his family, and a young karaoke singer trying to make it to through his twenties.
