Too Many Critics, the charity event established by Bill Knott and the late Charles Campion, is returning for its 16th edition this June in aid of Action Against Hunger. Hosted at The Cinnamon Club, the dinner will see some of the UK’s best food critics take on the role of chefs for the night, cooking up a four-course feast to be judged by the likes of Barragán and Pip Lacey. Tom Parker-Bowles, Giles Coren, Grace Dent, David Ellis, Adam Hyman and Rose Prince will all be taking to the pots and pans (overseen by The Cinnamon Club’s Vivek Singh) to rustle up slow-braised leg of lamb with nutmeg & peppercorn sauce; tandoori morels with paneer & saffron rogan josh sauce, and personalised naan breads.
There’ll be an auction running alongside the dinner with prizes including a champagne dinner for four at Michelin-starred Gymkhana and a lobster & champagne lunch on the beach with an overnight stay at The Suffolk. Tickets cost £200 and include the four-course meal, a welcome cocktail and paired wines. Since its first event back in 2001, Too Many Critics has raised over £100,000 for Action Against Hunger, and by getting involved this year, you can help push that number even higher.
