He’s done Masterchef, worked with Mark Sargeant and Tom Aikens, been awarded two AA Rosettes in one year and now Tom Simmons is opening his first restaurant in London town. Taking over a space in the One Tower Bridge Development, Simmons has created a menu centred around British and French food, with an emphasis on his Welsh heritage. Open for brunch, lunch and dinner you can expect dishes to include roast cod loin, asparagus, haddock scotch egg and hollandaise; braised ox cheek, pommes puree and bourguignon sauce; and rhubarb panna cotta, granny smith sorbet and ginger biscuit. Small plates will also be available at the bar alongside specialty beers and lots of vino from OW Loeb. Bringing everything he’s got, we’re expecting this one to be pretty spesh.
