Tom Kerridge is getting into the fast food game (and he’s doing it the vegan way too) by teaming up with brand creator Mark Emms to open Bad Vegan in Camden’s Buck Street Market. The idea behind the restaurant is to introduce plant-based food to people who might not necessarily want to follow a vegan diet, so whilst the menu will be predominantly plant-based there will be some non-vegan toppings and sides available. Basically if you’re a flexitarian, this is the spot for you.
The menu includes the likes of The Taternator, a crunchy potato finger wrapped in a tortilla and filled with vegan cheese, toasted sesame salad, pickled jalapenos, queso sauce & crispy onions (or the non-vegan beef brisket & chimichurri sauce); Streetdough Flatbreads with smokey aubergine baba ganoush & roast mushrooms with black truffle; and sweet chilli crispy cauliflower. And you can wash that down with cookies & cream and PB&J vegan shakes and beers from Camden Town brewery.
Opens Thurs 24th June 2021
