titu brings gyoza to mayfair

We bloody love a dumpling so any news involving the little beggars is welcome news indeed. Well how about a brand new gyoza specialist, Titu, which has just opened in Mayfair’s Shepherd Market? We’re already sold. The 16-seater spot not only has fresh handmade gyoza but also Asian salads, snacks and an interesting sounding breakfast menu (it’s open from 7:30am).

On the breakfast front there’ll be gluten-free green tea pancakes and ouef à la coque, asparagus soldiers and watercress, while gyoza flavours range from wagyu beef & black pepper to spicy prawn to asparagus & shiitake. Snacks and salads include crispy chicken wings, crunchy prawns, baby squid, and soft shell crab salad and there’s also tonka bean beignets for dessert.

Sounds good to us – let’s just hope it can last longer than the short-lived Gyoza Bar in Covent Garden.
