From elegantly lit trees to unique window displays to festive food specials, there’s nothing quite like Christmas in London. Portman Marylebone, 110 acres that encompass Chiltern Street, New Quebec Street, Seymour Place, Old Quebec Street, Duke Street, Dorset Street, Blandford Street, George Street, Manchester Square and Portman Square, is living up to the city’s reputation for a spectacular festive season by rolling out a whole host of Christmas treats.
The chic neighbourhood is packed with independent boutiques and some of the city’s best dining destinations. From the independent cafes and restaurants of Seymour Place to the craftsmanship of Chiltern Street to the premium convenience of New Quebec Street, each street has something unique to offer. Many of the shops will be staying open late each week to give you more time to cross gifts off your Christmas list, with in-store activations and events making it much more fun and much less of a chore.
There’ll also be roaming Christmas entertainment, including choirs and instrumental performances, across Portman Marylebone each Thursday evening until 22nd December, and T By Tamara, So French, Blank Street Coffee, The Grazing Goat, Chiltern Street Deli, Cadenhead’s and Philglas & Swiggot will be providing free winter warming treats too. And because it’s the season of giving, the area’s charity partner City Harvest, which distributes food that would otherwise go to waste to those in need, is this year taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge.
