Tine Tempah is back with a new direction and this time he’s flying into the food industry with new chicken biz, RAPS. Based around indulgent soul food and fried chicken, RAPS was born as a way to reinvent the classics and the nostalgia of Tinie’s childhood spent eating at South East London’s chicken shops after school. Launching on 11th March, not only will you be able to get it for home delivery but you can pop along to Oxford Street’s Willows on The Roof where it’ll be in residency for four months too.
Tinie has teamed up with chef Big Has to co-create the menu which is mainly made up of w-RAPS, including the Unruly featuring deep-fried jerk marinated chicken, plantain, jerk bbq sauce and lime mayo slaw; Tinie’s personal fave the African Giant which includes buttermilk fried chicken, jollof salsa and plantain; and the Buffalo Soulja with buttermilk fried chicken, buffalo sauce, blue cheese and house pickles. Plus, there’ll be chicken tenders, peng wings and house-made sauces including jerk bbq, hot pineapple and Korean bbq to slather all over that chicken too.
